Beth Harmon, real name Elizabeth Harmon, is the main character of the Netflix mini-series "The Queen's Gambit". The story tells the story of Beth's journey from her placement in an orphanage to her chess tournaments around the world, most notably the World Championships in Russia where Beth Harmon will face the only player she fears: Vasily Borgov.Beth learns chess from Mr. Shaibel, the caretaker of the Methuen orphanage. She quickly shows impressive qualities for the game and becomes addicted to it. Addiction is one of Beth's torments, and her passion for chess is unfortunately not the main one. Indeed, as a child she already suffers from an addiction to antidepressants, then as an adult to alcohol... We find the young woman in a green dress with a knot at the collar, reminiscent of the fashion of the 50s! This is the outfit she wears during the tournament taking place in Paris where she faces the Russian world champion for the first time.
