Leonard is one of the main characters in the series The Big Bang Theory. This comedy follows the adventures of four scientist friends and geeks working together at Caltech University in California. Leonard is an experimental physicist and lives in a roommate relationship with Sheldon, a gifted theoretical physicist specializing in string theory. Sheldon is rather difficult to live with, he always knocks on the door three times before coming in and is very manic. At the beginning of the series, the two roommates meet Penny, their new next-door neighbour. Penny is a waitress at The Cheesecake Factory and tries to become an actress.
