Quasimodo is the hunchback of Notre-Dame in Victor Hugo's masterpiece "Notre Dame de Paris" adapted by Disney into a magnificent animated film telling the life of Paris in the 1500s and more particularly the story of a hunchbacked hero with a special destiny.Quasimodo is a gypsy whose mother was murdered a few years earlier by Judge Frollo. The latter does not know what to do with the child, so he raises him in secret under the bells of Notre-Dame, whose bell-ringer he calls him.Quasimodo is not like the others, he is hunchbacked and his deformed face can be frightening. Frollo uses this deformity to force Quasimodo never to leave the cathedral, instilling in him the hardness and wickedness of the men outside. Breaking the rule, Quasimodo will go out on the day of the festival of the madmen and will be elected King of the madmen, i.e. the ugliest...He will then meet Esmeralda, the beautiful gypsy girl and fall in love with her like all the men who meet her. Quasimodo and Esmeralda will become friends to the point that Quasimodo will protect his beauty by opposing Frollo who wants to see the gypsy girl burned at the stake. For this new Quasimodo POP figurine, Funko represented the hunchback wearing the King of Fools outfit. The hunchback has just been elected by the crowd as the ugliest costume, just a few minutes before everyone realizes that it's not a costume but Quasimodo, the bell ringer. On the figure of Quasimodo King of Fools, he appears all smiles. He wears the crown on his head, the sceptre in his left hand and the king's cape. The hunchback's battered face is recognizable with his flattened nose and his sunken eye with the swollen arch. Underneath his mad king's clothes, Quasimodo is dressed in his usual green garments with his tunic and tights.Without forgetting Quasimodo's particular cut and his hump on his back, Funko has pushed the detail to the point of tearing the cape of the king of madmen! This figurine is the perfect complement to the first two POPs of the Hunchback: the figurine of Quasimodo holding a gargoyle or the one where he holds a toy with his own effigy.
