Timon is an important character in the Disney cartoon The Lion King. This cartoon tells the story of Simba, a young lion cub destined to become king of the savannah, the Land of Lions after his father Mufasa. Scar, the jealous brother covets the throne and will do everything to eliminate Mufasa and young Simba. After his father's death, young Simba flees into the desert and meets Timon and Pumbaa. Timon is a red-haired meerkat, he lives in the jungle on the edge of Lions' Land. He lives with his best friend, the warthog Pumbaa. The two of them form a rather funny duo, full of energy who only think about having fun! They have a philosophy of life based on the Hakuna Matata, life without any worries, made of games and tastings of insects and larvae. It is with this philosophy of life that Simba, adopted by the duo, will grow up far from his own. Timon has a big heart and an inexhaustible energy, but he has a difficult character: he is egocentric, he appropriates Pumbaa's good ideas to show himself off. Timon is undeniably the leader of the duo and Pumbaa is the smarter of the two. He's often the one with the good ideas. Their carefree life is turned upside down when one day, as an adult Simba runs into his childhood friend Nala who pushes him to take back his place on the throne.
