Timon is an important character in the Disney cartoon The Lion King. This cartoon tells the story of Simba, a young lion cub destined to become king of the savannah, the Land of Lions after his father Mufasa. Scar, the jealous brother covets the throne and will do everything to eliminate Mufasa and young Simba. After his father's death, young Simba flees into the desert and meets Timon and Pumbaa. Timon is a red-haired meerkat, he lives in the jungle on the edge of Lions' Land. He lives with his best friend, the warthog Pumbaa.
