Leland Palmer, in the small town of Twin Peaks, turns out to be a small-time business lawyer whose biggest client is none other than Benjamin Horne, the richest man in town and the owner of the local hotel. The role of Leland Palmer is consequent to say the least, because he is also the father of Laura Palmer, the young girl murdered at the beginning of the events of Twin Peaks...The character is initially presented as someone very sensitive. He will go until throwing himself on the coffin of his daughter at the time when this one will be buried to be buried with. As one can understand it, the character lives extremely badly the death of his daughter, unceasingly down and disoriented. A state of affairs which disturbs Benjamin Horne, his principal customer, since this one depends mainly on Leland Palmer for the management of his business. The latter will therefore try to reinvigorate Leland, in vain.Spoiler: because he was Laura Palmer's father, Leland, naturally, was considered one of the potential suspects in the case. The film Fire Walk With Me then allowed to better assert his role in the events leading to the death of his daughter.Indeed, Leland Palmer, possessed by the evil entity from another dimension "Bob", was led - because of the possession - to abuse his daughter for years before brutally murdering her. Leland Palmer had discovered Bob when he was a child, who then took possession of him and forced him to commit atrocities sporadically... This is the reason why Leland was led to make undergo the worst outrages to his own daughter, in spite of him. During the events of season 2, after having made a new victim, Leland will let Bob take possession of him completely, changing his personality and the color of his hair to white. The Funko POP figure of Leland Palmer, has the appearance that the character had at the time of season 2. Indeed, the first distinctive sign that we observe in the Funko POP Leland Palmer is his hair of a very light white. This color reminds us that Bob has taken possession of him. Also, the Leland Palmer POP represents him wearing a three-piece suit, whereas before he was completely possessed by Bob, he wore much less elegant suits. Moreover, the Leland Palmer figure, with white gloves to match his hair, looks like he is about to strangle someone. The milky white of his eyes - accentuating the symptoms of BOB's possession - then, reinforce the cruelty of a character who has been manipulated to do evil all his life! So, in a nod to the Twin Peaks series, Funko depicted Leland Palmer at the height of his cruelty on this POP, before he was finally arrested by Special Agent Dale Cooper. The episode of his arrest and interrogation was then remembered as one of the most memorable moments of the Twin Peaks phenomenon. Any fan of the series, therefore, must have a Funko POP of Leland Palmer on his shelves as the character is emblematic of the series.
