Of its true name Margaret Lanterman, the Log Lady is one of these typical eccentricities of the series Twin Peaks. This series, created by David Lynch, allowed its director to really leave a very specific trace of his style in the medium then little developed of the TV series. The style of Lynch, then, includes its share of mysteries, interpretations and events apparently absurd but whose meaning is in reality much deeper than it seems.Within the framework of this way of writing a story, the characters who are the belt of transmission, they also, in some respects, must put forward a form of absurdity which is their own. All, indeed, have their share of eccentricity, but some characters express it in a way that is more ostensible than others. This is notably the case of Margaret Lanterman, known as "The Log Lady".Why the strange nickname of "The Log Lady"? Quite simply because Margaret is a woman whose primary characteristic is to always carry a log with her, carrying it with her as if she were carrying a newborn baby. Whether at home or on the way to the Twin Peaks diner or whenever she leaves the house, the Log Lady never forgets her favorite log. She became in some ways a sort of town mascot. But beyond this mark of eccentricity which is hers, the Log Lady manifested herself by some uncommon feats. She could indeed foresee certain events. This power was manifested in her by being close to the Black Lodge and its inter-dimensional influence. Her powers then, proved to be particularly useful to Agent Dale Cooper so that he could be directed towards certain leads leading to the outcome of his investigation into the death of Laura Palmer. Thus, the Funko POP figure of the Log Lady, as one might expect, naturally features her with her favorite log in her arms. The Log Lady POP is also faithful to the character down to the last detail. Indeed, the figurine of the Lady with a log presents her with her usual attire.Although the Log Lady looks to be in her thirties during the first two seasons of the series, she appears to be dressed as an older woman with long dresses and old-fashioned sweaters. This, without counting her huge red-rimmed glasses giving her a hallucinated face being nicely retranscribed here. On this POP of the Log Lady in Twin Peaks, Funko leaves no stone unturned in her appearance and renders her as she appears during the events of the series. This POP figure of the Log Lady is one of the most distinctive characters of Twin Peaks. It is therefore a great piece to include in your Funko POP Twin Peaks collection!
