Erlich is one of the main characters of the American series Silicon Valley. He is the manager of Hacker Hostel, a technology incubator where Richard, Dinesh and Gilfoyle live and work in exchange for 10% of their company's potential profits. When Richard creates a revolutionary compression algorithm, he soon finds himself coveted. Richard must choose between selling his discovery to his own boss at Hooli's or letting another billionaire, Peter Gregory, invest in his future company in exchange for a return on profits. He then chooses the second option and founds his own company. Erlich, who had previously sold his own Aviato application, goes back to work creating Pied Piper.
