Rafiki is a mandrill and is an important character in the cartoon The Lion King. He is a kind of shaman, wise man of the savannah and adviser of the kingdom Land of the Lions. At the beginning of the cartoon, Queen Sarabi gives birth to Simba, the future king of the kingdom. Rafiki, the shaman baptizes him by sprinkling dust on Simba's forehead. Finally, he introduces him to the people of the savannah as the future king by raising the newborn baby in the air on the rock.
