Rafiki is a mandrill and is an important character in the cartoon The Lion King. He is a kind of shaman, wise man of the savannah and adviser of the kingdom Land of the Lions. At the beginning of the cartoon, Queen Sarabi gives birth to Simba, the future king of the kingdom. Rafiki, the shaman baptizes him by sprinkling dust on Simba's forehead. Finally, he introduces him to the people of the savannah as the future king by raising the newborn baby in the air on the rock. On this stage, with the song "L'histoire de la vie" in the background, the gazelles reared up, the elephants crossed the road, the monkeys shouted, all of them celebrating the birth of their future king. Rafiki is saddened when he learns that Simba has disappeared, denying the throne and his royal destiny. During one of his rituals, he discovers that Simba is still alive, so he takes his cane to join him. He tries to make him understand that mistakes are a thing of the past, and that the young lion must resume his role and responsibilities. On this Pop! figurine, Rafiki is represented with the young Simba in the scene of the baptism and the presentation to the people of the savannah. Rafiki is a chuck with a mane of white hair, as well as the red, blue and yellow colours of his face. He is holding baby Simba with his yellow fur and the mark of his baptism: a patch of earth that Rafiki has sprinkled on his forehead.
