Harry Potter is the main character of the eponymous novelist saga which relates his adventures as a young sorcerer. He was born on July 31, 1980 in Godric's Hollow. His parents James Potter and Lily Evans were murdered by the terrible wizard Voldemort who was trying to kill Harry, convinced that Trelawney's prophecy indicated that he had the power to kill him. Harry survives Voldemort's spell, which turns on him and reduces him to a being without a body. From this attack, Harry has only a lightning bolt-shaped scar on his forehead, which will make him very famous in the world of wizards. Following the assassination of his parents, he is entrusted to his only remaining family, the Dursleys.
