Cogsworth is a secondary character in the movie Beauty and the Beast, a film adaptation of the Disney studios' cartoon. This Disney classic is based on the story of a tale in which a prince is transformed into a hideous looking creature due to his arrogance, meets Belle, a young woman held captive in the castle to free her father. All the servants of the castle are also transformed into enchanted objects. To break the curse, the Beast must fall in love and be loved in return before the last petal of an enchanted rose falls. Otherwise, he will never be able to regain his human appearance and will remain the Beast for the rest of his life. When Beauty arrives at the castle, all the servants see a chance to break the spell.Cogsworth is one of the inhabitants of the castle transformed into a clock. He was the butler of the young prince, very picky about rules and punctuality. His role was to make sure that everything was in order in the castle and appeared to the other inhabitants as strict and rigid. This contrasts with the joie de vivre of Lumière, his best friend the candlestick maker ready to party and welcome all the guests of the castle. He fears the character of his master the Beast and his sometimes violent reactions, so he makes it a point of honor that orders are respected and that the castle is in order.Like all the Pop figurines in the collection, Funko represents here the character Cogsworth with the appearance he has in the film adaptation of the Disney classic. The shape of the baroque standing clock is recognizable. It is a brown wooden clock with gilding and many golden decorations. One can distinguish the shape of its hair and its arms which have the shape of a handle. His face is the clock face where are drawn big black eyes like all Pop figurines. We guess his nose in the middle of the dial and the second hand which are the moustaches in the film. On the front of the clock, there are golden decorations representing a cannon, swords, a stopwatch. This Pop figurine is very well made and very similar to the version of the character in the movie.
