The Ancient One, whose name we don't know, is one of Doctor Strange's characters. This woman is the master who teaches the mystical arts and the mastery of magic in Nepal to a small group of disciples in order to make them become the guardians of three ancient sanctuaries that energetically protect the planet.The Ancient One meets Stephen Strange as he wants to be healed from the aftermath of a serious car accident. She is initially very reluctant, sensing Strange's potential but also his arrogance and selfishness which could lead him to turn to evil, just as she has already seen with Kaecilius, a disciple who has now turned to evil .Nevertheless, she agreed to teach Doctor Strange magic. He proves to be very attentive and gifted. His curiosity pushed him to develop his skills extremely quickly. Strange also learns the history of this secret community, its vocation to protect the Earth against powerful threats, and the existence of dissident disciples led by Kaecilius who want to destroy the sanctuaries and entrust the planet to the demon Dormammu...During a confrontation, Kaecilius reveals to Doctor Strange the dark side of the Ancient One, trusting her to bend her own rules to be as powerful and immortal as she is. She won't deny it and, overcome with remorse, will even let herself die when Kaecilius mortally wounds her. This revelation will upset one of the disciples, Karl Mordo, who will not tolerate the betrayal of the Ancient One and will prefer to leave the disciples as soon as they manage to repel the threat.Funko pays homage to the character of the Ancient One with a magnificent figurine representing him well.
