He then seeks to enter our existential plane in order to feed on the pain and sadness of his victims. It is for this reason that he is responsible for multiple atrocities, those most often materializing by rape and murder.It is indeed him who murdered Laura Palmer... without being him. Because to intervene in our world, Bob must manipulate people who have lost their way in the Black Lodge, which is the junction between the two universes.
