Chuck Noland is the main character in the film Cast Away. Played by Tom Hanks, Chuck is a FedEx employee boarding a cargo plane on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately, the plane crashes and Chuck finds himself the only survivor on a deserted island in the middle of the Pacific. The joy of being alive and the hope of being rescued will soon be marred as Chuck Noland realizes that the search area to find him must be immense. He then organizes himself to try to survive even though he finds himself in a totally hostile environment.Months, then years go by and Chuck is still alone (with Wilson) on this island. When the sea brings back a plastic debris, Chuck sees a small glimmer of hope and builds a makeshift raft to try to escape from this prison. The risks are enormous but he now knows he is condemned to die on this island and prefers to try one last time his luck.Chuck will eventually be rescued by a ship. After 4 years of exile, he will be repatriated to the United States and will become the pride of the whole FedEx company. His wife has remarried and has two children, but Chuck knows that now he has a new life ahead of him.He even ends up going to deliver one of the parcels he didn't open on the island, a symbol of his attachment to a job well done. Note: FedEx has taken up this scene in an advertisement (after the film) where we discover that there was a satellite phone in the parcel!Alone on his island, Chuck picked up the FedEx parcels that the ocean deposits on the beaches. In one of them is a volleyball that Chuck will transform into his companion. It is with Wilson (the brand of the ball) that Funko proposes a POP figurine of Chuck Noland. We find on this figurine the hero of Cast Away after several months, even years, exiled on the island. Chuck has a marked physique, he is very thin, has an imposing beard and lives almost naked. Chuck's POP reminds us of other important facts, in particular by insisting on the character's feet which have suffered a lot when he cuts himself with the corals. On the figurine, Chuck holds in his hands a harpoon that he made with a fish at the end. The fact that Chuck has been able to fish shows that he has been on the island for months since his first attempts were not very successful...Finally, Funko makes a nice wink to the film by representing Wilson in Chuck's other hand. The balloon personified as Chuck's misfortune companion is probably the second character of the movie! We find Wilson with his face that takes the mark of Chuck's bleeding hand, whereas he had drawn eyes, a nose and a mouth for him. There is also Wilson's tousled haircut since the balloon is completely burst.
