Mulan is the heroine of the famous Disney cartoon Mulan inspired by a Chinese legend. The story tells the adventures of a young girl, not ordinary, who struggles to conform to traditions. She is brave and intelligent and despite her natural beauty, does not think too much about marriage, to the great despair of her mother Fa Li who arranges a meeting with the matchmaker. That day Mulan arrives late with straw in her hair. His mother and grandmother help him get ready. She is undressed and put in the bathtub to take a bath. Then she gets her make-up and hair done before she gets dressed in her wedding outfit. When she arrives at the bridegroom's house, she makes a series of blunders, making the bridegroom furious and swearing that she will never get married. Back home, Mulan removes her make-up and wonders about the place she should have for her family's honour. Her father comforts her and they are interrupted by the drum roll that announces the conscription of one man per family to go to battle and protect the country from the Huns' invasion. The Fa family is called to join the army, Fa Zhou, a former war hero is wounded and walks with a cane agrees to serve the country despite Mulan's opposition! It is a question of honor for him. Mulan refuses to let her father go, so she decides to take his place by disguising herself as a man. After a prayer to the ancestors, she cuts her hair, takes her father's sword and puts on his armour. She recovers the conscription order and runs away in the night on her horse Khan. Arriving at the military camp, she introduces herself as Fa Ping and follows a training given by Li Shang with other new recruits. The beginnings are difficult but she will be helped by Mushu, the little dragon, and Cri-Kee brings her luck offered by her grandmother. She will make friends: Yao, Ling and Cheng Po. During an attack in the mountains, Mulan provokes an avalanche that eliminates the Huns. She is wounded and is treated by the doctor who discovers that she is a woman and denounces her to Li Shang. Li Shang spares her life because she has just saved his. Later, while Li Shang and his unit celebrate their victory, Shan Yu and some of the men manage to extricate themselves from the snow and infiltrate the palace to attack the emperor. Once again, Mulan shows his courage and intelligence and saves the emperor. To thank her and show his gratitude, the emperor stoops down and hands her Shan Yu's sword and a medallion.On this Pop! figurine, Funko represents Mulan who goes back on his horse after receiving the medallion from the emperor. She is wearing a very feminine traditional Chinese outfit. This is the outfit she wears when she saves the emperor and goes home on the back of her horse Khan after being acclaimed by all the people. It is an outfit made of several layers of blue, turquoise and white fabric. There is also the red belt that marks her waist. The horse Khan is also well represented: we recognize the colors of his black and white coat.
