Rafiki, whose name in Swahili means "friend" is an important character in the cartoon The Lion King. He is an old mandrill, wise man of the savannah and highly respected in the Land of Lions, he plays the role of Mufasa's adviser. He always moves around with his cane, a stick decorated with fruit. At the beginning of the cartoon, Rafiki baptizes the young Simba, heir to the throne by sprinkling dust on his forehead. He then introduces him to all the animals of the savannah, carrying him at arm's length on the rock. He is devastated when he learns of the death of Mufasa and the alleged death of young Simba. One evening, during one of his rituals, he discovers that the young lion cub that has become an adult is still alive, he becomes euphoric and hilarious. On his tree, he draws Simba's ochre mane and goes in search of him. He surprises Simba as he wonders if he should go and reconquer his throne and hunt Scar to take back what is rightfully his, as Nala asks. Between two blows of sticks on Simba's head, Rafiki makes him understand that mistakes are a thing of the past and incites him to take back what is rightfully his: his place as king of the Land of the Lions. On this Pop! flocked figurine, you can recognize the features of the chuck, with its white mane, as well as the red and blue colours of its face.
