The dilophosaurus is one of the famous dinosaurs of Jurassic Park. Less imposing than some of its fellow dinosaurs, including the T-Rex and Velociraptor, it finds an important place in the plot of Jurassic Park's first opus.Jurassic Park is John Hammond's dream to open a leisure park where people can wander among flesh-and-blood dinosaurs. After years of research to extract DNA from species extinct more than 65 million years ago and still contained in fossilized mosquitoes, Hammond has his dream at his fingertips, managing to reproduce a huge number of dinosaur species.
