In the small, seemingly quiet town of Twin Peaks, the slightest incident is seen as completely unusual. Twin Peaks will indeed have been the occasion to generate three major revolutions in the world of fiction and these owe their existence to a particular character: Bob.Bob, in Twin Peaks, is not the most striking character of the series, but he is the one around whom all the implausibilities of this curious microcosm are articulated. His appearances in the series are rare but striking. He even allowed himself a fleeting appearance in the third season despite the death of the actor who played him thanks to digital effects.Bob, is not a man nor a character, but an entity which, by itself, gathers a whole concept around its only person. Although he manifests himself under a definite appearance, few people actually see him as he really is. Indeed, Bob is a supernatural entity from a parallel universe. He then seeks to enter our existential plane in order to feed on the pain and sadness of his victims. It is for this reason that he is responsible for multiple atrocities, those most often materializing by rape and murder.It is indeed him who murdered Laura Palmer... without being him. Because to intervene in our world, Bob must manipulate people who have lost their way in the Black Lodge, which is the junction between the two universes. That's how Bob manipulated Leland Palmer to use him to kill Laura; but it's also Bob who took over the body of special agent Dale Cooper at the end of season 2.The Funko POP figure of Bob from Twin Peaks represents him as he is perceived by those who are about to be manipulated by him. We can read in his big black eyes the delight that is his at the idea of tormenting the inhabitants of Twin Peaks, where he will have multiplied the atrocities.
