Mulan is the heroine of the Disney studios cartoon released in 1998: Mulan. This cartoon is inspired by a Chinese legend that tells the story of a young Hua Mulan woman who disguises herself as a man to take the place of her father, sick and too old, called to join the army to fight the Huns who invade the country. Mulan, the only daughter of Fa Zhou and Fa Li, is a young girl who finds it difficult to follow traditions. But to honor her family, Mulan prepares to meet the matchmaker. She arrives late, her hair full of straw, much to her mother's displeasure. She is quickly taken care of: bathing, hairdressing, dressing in a bridal gown. Her grandmother then gives her a lucky charm: Cri-Kee, which she hides under her outfit. Unfortunately Cri-Kee escapes and to capture him, Mulan will commit several blunders in front of the matchmaker: Cri-Kee has landed in the cup in which Mulan has just served tea. She tries to prevent the matchmaker from drinking and the matchmaker ends up with a burning butt! Furious, she swears in front of everyone that Mulan will never get married! Back home, Mulan removes her make-up and wonders where she belongs. Her father comes to comfort her by alluding to the late blossoming magnolia flowers. They are interrupted by the announcement of the requisition of one man per family to go and fight the Huns who are invading the country. Mulan opposes this, citing his father's health and the honour he must uphold. Seeing his father too old to walk without a cane, Mulan makes the decision to go to fight in his father's place. At night, she prays to the ancestors, recovers her father's conscription order by replacing it with his brooch, cuts her hair with a sword. She takes her father's armour and goes to the military camp. In her adventure, she will be accompanied by Mushu, a small dragon sent by her ancestors to protect her and Cri-Kee.In this Pop figurine, Mulan is represented in the outfit she wears at the end of the cartoon, when she is discovered to be a woman. This is the moment when she returns to her father's house after saving the emperor and preventing the invasion of the Huns. It is a traditional Chinese outfit with several layers of blue, turquoise and white fabric. She also wears a red belt that reminds the neckline of the same colour of her outfit. Mulan holds in her hands the sword of the evil Shan Yu and the medallion offered by the emperor for his courage. His face is recognizable by his brown hair, his medium-length haircut with a lock on his forehead. Her large black eyes with thick eyebrows make the figurine very cute.
