Simba is the main character in the Disney cartoon The Lion King. The story takes place in the savannah where lions rule the animal kingdom. At the beginning of the cartoon, King Mufasa and Queen Sabari introduce their newborn Simba. Rafiki, the mandrill and adviser to the kingdom baptizes Simba with a kind of powder that he sprinkles on his forehead before introducing him to all the animals of the savannah, who have come in great numbers in a semi-circle around the Rock of Pride. The Lion King then recounts the adventures of Simba, the future king. As a child, Simba has his own little character, a strong, rather restless head that thinks that everything is allowed to him, as a prince and future king. Quite naive and unconscious, he disobeys his father and puts himself and his friend Nala in danger by going to explore the elephant cemetery, beyond the borders of the kingdom. Indeed, after sowing Zazu, the hornbill sent by Queen Sabari to watch over them, the two young lions are ambushed by Scar's hyenas who are after their lives. They are finally saved by the intervention of Mufasa, warned by Zazu. Simba and Mufasa have a very fusional relationship based on love and admiration. Mufasa teaches him to be a good king and passes on the principles he himself received from his father. Simba sees him as a role model. After his father's death, Simba thinks he is responsible for it and runs away. In the desert, he meets Timon and Pumbaa who adopt him and teach him the life of Hakuna Matata. A few years later, Mufasa as a spirit encourages Simba to return to the land of pride, asking him to remember who he was: the son of Mufasa, the only true king.On this gold version of an existing figurine, we see the young Simba sitting and disguised as an adult with red leaves around his neck to make his mane. This figurine recalls the scene where Simba goes for a walk with Nala, watched by the butler Zazu. Simba is teasing Zazu who wants to have traditions respected. He "fires" Zazu as king, to which the butler replies that he is not yet king. This is the famous scene where Simba sings "I would like to be king already".
