Ron Weasley is one of the main characters in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter literary series and the films that are the cinematic offshoot of it. The story tells the adventures of Harry Potter, a young boy who discovers on his eleventh birthday that he is in fact a wizard. He grows up with his uncle and aunt Dursley, who consider him a parasite and mistreat him. The Dursleys had hidden from him the fact that his parents were murdered by Voldemort and that he is the only human survivor of the spell cast by this terrible wizard, hence the lightning scar on his forehead. Since that day, The One Whose Name Must Not Be Spoken has been weakened and is trying to regain his human form and power. On the day of his eleventh birthday, Hagrid comes to Harry to reveal to him that he is a sorcerer and that he is going to enter the prestigious Hogwarts school of magic (Hogwarts in English) to learn everything there is to know about magic. With Hagrid's help, Harry buys his school supplies at Traverse Road: a holly wood magic wand with a phoenix feather inside in the Ollivander shop. He will then learn that another wand has been made with a feather of the same phoenix, the one that caused the scar on his forehead: his wand is the twin of Voldemort's. He also receives as a gift from Hagrid a snowy owl, which he will call Hedwige. On his way to Hogwarts, just before crossing the 9 3/4 barrier, Harry meets young Ron Weasley and his family, who will soon adopt him. Ron and Harry share the same train compartment in the Hogwarts Express and get to know each other. They also meet the very bright and serious Hermione Granger. Hermione and Ron will become his most faithful friends and will follow him in his adventures. Ron is the second last of a large family, all of them sorcerers. He entered Hogwarts in 1991 and is reunited with his twin brothers Fred and George, who are a year older. Ron is not the brightest of wizards but forms the inseparable trio with Harry Potter and Hermione Granger and together they will face many challenges and dangers. In this Pop! action figure, Ron is depicted as he is in the first films of the saga, that is to say as a young teenager. Specifically, Funko represented Ron in his second year as he holds a patched wand. Indeed, when Ron arrived in his second year at Hogwarts, he broke his wand that he had received from his brother Charlie. He tries to fix it as best he can, but it seems impossible to fix: it gives off a thick grey smoke that smells like rotten eggs. He will keep this patched wand throughout the school year, which has caused him a few accidents. During a dispute with Drago Malfoy, he tries to cast a spell but the green light spurts out from the wrong side of his wand and turns against him to hit him in the stomach. He then spends the rest of the day vomiting big slugs. Like Harry, he wears his Hogwarts school uniform: black trousers and shoes with a grey V-neck sweater under which he wears a white shirt with a tie in red and orange tones. He wears a long grey wizard's robe, which distinguishes him from Harry's black one, over his uniform. He wears the crest in the colours of the house in which he was placed with Harry and Hermione on his arrival at the school by the Magic Sorting Hat: Gryffindor. In terms of physical features, Funko has been very faithful to the character, like all the members of his family, Ron is redheaded. He is therefore very recognizable on this figurine with his hair and eyebrows!
