Number Five, Number Five or "The Boy" is one of the members of the Hargreeves siblings. He has the ability to make jumps in time and space, and disappeared for 17 years after using his powers when he had not yet mastered them very well...Number 5 reappears at the funeral of his father, Sir Reginald Hargreeves, and his return is shocking as he announces to his brothers and sisters that he's coming back from the future and that the Apocalypse is due in 8 days. Number 5 then embarks on a mission to defeat the end of the world and save his brothers and sisters whom he saw dead.If he has the body of a little boy "in the present," Number Five has actually lived 45 years in the future. So he has the experience of a seasoned man and the physique of a 13-year-old child. This situation is very frustrating on many occasions since he is not taken seriously. Beneath this boyish appearance lies a sharp mind and a fearsome killer, he is as arrogant as he is brave, appears very antisocial and shows an unconditional love for Dolores, a store model who was his only companion when he lived for years in a world in ruins without a soul.Very lonely, these bonds with his brothers and sisters are quite cold. He often despises their behaviour, but there is no doubt that he wants to protect them more than anything else. He manages to convince Luther, Diego and Allison of the urgency of the situation and to take them with him on this mission.When he was stuck, alone in the future, Number Five was recruited by a very special agency: the Time Commission. He was a sort of hitman sent by the Commission to make sure that the planned events unfolded as they should. Number Five used this mission as a cover to find a way to return to the present and prevent the Apocalypse. In season 1, he is pursued by two killers from the Cha-Cha and Hazel agency who will go after the Hargreeves, and more specifically kidnap and torture Klaus.Funko proposes a Chase version of Number Five's POP. We find the character with his physique as a 13-year-old boy and his Umbrella Academy uniform as he wore it as a child before disappearing.On Number Five's POP, the uniform is perfectly represented with the details of the red stitching on the blue suit. There is also the Academy crest with the small umbrella logo. Like the schoolboy costumes, Number Five wears shorts that fall to the knees, accentuating its childlike allure.As a nod to the series, and to the scenes where Five is annoyed at not finding "a good coffee" which seems to be his drug, Funko has chosen to represent the super hero holding a cup of coffee! The effect of seeing a child drinking a cup of coffee is just as contrasting, but let's remember that he is actually 58 years old in his head?Finally, for this Chase version of Number Five's POP, Funko added a small detail: the mask protecting the anonymity of the members of the Umbrella Academy, a mask that every brother and sister (except Vanya) wore during their missions.
