In Chuck Panahniuk's novel Fight Club, Tyler Durden was a concentrate of chaos. He was characterized above all by deaf and even blind violence and a semblance of madness. It is no offense to the author to say that David Fincher was able to give a whole new depth to the character. And for good reason, Chuck Palahniuk himself admits that Fincher's version is even better than his novel. Which says a lot about the quality of the work...Tyler Durden, rather than a man, is a fantasy. That of the free man emancipated from all constraints, be they material or social. He is beyond what others may think of him because he exists for himself and not for others. It is also for this reason - among others - that the narrator will be fascinated by this figure of freedom. A freedom that has a bitter taste, but a taste that one ends up appreciating with wear and tear. What, thereafter, after his meeting with the narrator, will lead the two men to consolidate in an impulse of freedom which, pushed to its last extremity, will lead to a form of chaos. A chaos that wants to be the advent of a new world. Tyler Durder, in this respect, is an eulogy of marginality well understood. The one that has the vocation to really overthrow the system not by adopting postures, but by attacking its internal contradictions. The narrator and Tyler Durden meet on a plane trip. Tyler, then, is only one of the "one-time friends" of the narrator who, at this time in his life, is experiencing an existential crisis. The two of them end up living together after some unfortunate circumstances, which later leads to the founding of Fight Club; the foundation of a revolution that does not say its name.By living a rather dysfunctional life as a couple, the two will have known how to agglomerate around them all the outcasts of society. And it is from there that Tyler will start to build his chaotic empire. It's not for nothing that the Fight Club will end up evolving into "Project Chaos". With vandalism turning into terrorism, Tyler's indications become a little more extreme with each passing day. Enough to get to the point of wanting to crash the world's financial system with a bombing. The Tyler Durden Funko POP figure represents him as he was when he met the narrator. Indeed, the Tyler Durden POP wears a red leather jacket that he will not wear afterwards because of his very extensive wardrobe. The Tyler Durden Funko POP oozes class in that the character was designed as a male fantasy, embodying class and eccentric elegance. Eccentric, the character is eccentric to the point of wearing unbelievable clothes that fit him perfectly. A bit like the kitsch sunglasses that Tyler Durden wears wonderfully on this POP.Finally, the Tyler Durder Funko POP figure holds up a pink soap with "Fight Club" written on it, a nod to the movie as the character makes a living selling luxury soaps made from the liposuction fat of rich women. This is one of the many eccentricities of a character beloved by Fight Club fans...
