Splinter is the master rat in martial arts who trains Ninja Turtles. This rat, which belonged to a martial arts master, was able to escape from his cage when his master died. He took refuge in the sewers of New York where he saw the four turtles trapped in a mutagenic fluid. He decides to save them by exposing himself to this fluid.Splinter and the turtles mutate: they grow to human size and their strength is multiplied tenfold. Splinter takes the four brothers under his wing and names them after a book on the Renaissance: Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael. Having been able to observe the practice of martial arts from his cage, he knows all the secrets and decides to teach them to the turtles that will become the Ninja Turtles.While the Ninja Turtles are in the midst of their teenage crisis, they find a father figure and a spiritual guide in Splinter. Splinter trains them as best he can, convinced that all the efforts made in training will be able to save their lives when the time comes...The POP figure of Splinter is faithful to the martial arts master of the Ninja Turtles. One recognizes perfectly the rat, with its piercing glance, the two teeth which leave its jaw, its long nose and its two large ears.Splinter is dressed in his purple kimono, tied with a black belt which testifies to his level. He leans on a cane that serves as a support. Funko also represented Splinter's long tail and the sharp claws on his legs.
