Artemis Fowl is the hero of the eponymous Disney movie, or rather the anti-hero since this young boy of about 12 years old is one of the biggest and most gifted criminals in the world! Artemis's life is turned upside down when, at the age of nine, his father is kidnapped by the Russian mafia, which takes his wealth in the process. He vows to find him and make up the Fowls' fortune. It is while pursuing this quest that the young boy discovers the existence of an underworld populated by fairies and dwarves. He sees an opportunity to become rich by stealing the Elves' gold. To do so, Artemis Fowl captures Holly Short, the captain of a military section of the Elves and demands a ransom of a ton of gold in exchange for her release. The Elves initially refuse and decide to launch an assault on the Fowl Manor where Holly is being held. Butler, the boy's butler and bodyguard, repulses the assault. Nevertheless, the Elves use a stratagem by entrusting the mission to the dwarf Mulch Diggems. The dwarf secretly enters the mansion and aims to determine how Artemis Fowl got to know the fairy world and if Holly is still alive. Mulch succeeds in his mission but, as his thieving dwarf nature takes over, he ends up running away with a good part of the gold for the ransom?Artemis is a very special boy. Cold and ruthless by nature, he seems to have no feelings and no morals. Guided by the desire to get rich, he uses all his intelligence to come up with dreadful plans. Nevertheless, as the story unfolds, and more particularly his meeting with Holly Short, his behaviour changes, transforming him into a much more trustworthy person than he was before.Funko pays a nice tribute to the hero from Eoin Colfer's novels with a chase version of this POP figure from Artemis Fowl. As in the original version, the POP is a good representation of the character's features with a young boy, quite pale skinned and with brown hair whose rebellious locks fall on his forehead. He is dressed in his dark, perfectly tailored suit, with his white shirt and his rather thin tie. He stands up straight, with his arms stretched out along his body. Unlike the POP, the accessory of this POP from Artemis is his reflective glasses that prevent Holly Short from using the mesmer on him! This Funko POP from Artemis Fowl is a very nice figurine for the lucky ones who will have the joy to fall on this chase version.
