Ken Kaneki is the main character of the manga and anime series Tokyo Ghoul drawn and written by Sui Ishida. Ken is a fan of literature, he is a first year student of Japanese Literature at Kamii University. One day a terrible accident happens to him, he is attacked by a young ghoul he was dating named Rize. She pierces his stomach but luckily metal beams fall on her and kill her instantly. Ken in a more than critical state is taken to the hospital where the doctors decide to graft the ghoul's organs in order to save him. Ken becomes then a half ghoul in spite of him.A few days after the operation, the young man notices the changes and has difficulty accepting the fact that he has become a half ghoul. He who is a so nice and so discreet boy, paying more attention to the others than to himself. It is impossible for Ken to imagine having to kill humans to feed himself. Fortunately for him, he will meet Touka, a ghoul who works in a café called "L'Antique" where all the ghouls feed on humans without having to kill them. He will also meet the mysterious Uta, a ghoul with an atypical style, the creator of the famous ghoul masks.Ken's abilities evolve as time goes by, he learns better and better to use his ghoul powers and his kagune. However, after beating Yamori, he eats part of his fire kagune, becoming a Fire Ghoul. Indeed, the kagune can evolve, mutate through several repeated acts of cannibalism. This allows the cannibal to increase the powers of his kagune tenfold thanks to the nutrients held in a ghoul, four times greater than that of a human. With this form, Ken's strength and speed are amplified and his kagune has a scolopendre form. This transformation affects the physical but also the mental of the person. Indeed, in this form, Ken sinks quickly into madness, losing all control.Through this POP figure, Funko represents Kaneki Ken the powerful and famous half-human from the manga and the anime series Tokyo Ghoul. He is in the half-kakuja form also called "Fire Ghoul", a form he does not master, in which his ghoul side takes over. This POP is very similar to the one we can see in the animated series.
