Sleepy is one of the seven dwarves in the cartoon Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Disney's first feature film, released in 1937. The cartoon is based on the Grimm brothers' tale and tells the story of Princess Snow White. Her mother-in-law, jealous of her beauty, makes her a servant after the death of the king, forcing her to wear rags. One day, her Magic Mirror reveals to her that a girl in rags has become more beautiful than the Queen. The Queen understands that she is Snow White and asks her servant to kill her. Snow White is washing the courtyard of the castle while singing. Her pretty voice attracts a prince who is seduced by the beauty of the princess and sings her love to him. Later, while Snow White is walking around, the Queen's servant tries to kill her. But he doesn't have the courage and lets the princess go. Snow White sinks into the forest and ends up taking refuge in a small thatched cottage. The inhabitants of this thatched cottage are the seven dwarves and Sleepy is one of them. Each dwarf has a personality trait that gave him his name. Dormeur, as his name suggests, is constantly tired. He is often seen stretching and yawning with his eyes closing at the slightest opportunity. He is rather discreet and rarely speaks. In the scene where the dwarves sing to celebrate the arrival of Snow White, Sleepy lies down and plays the flute between yawns. A fly comes and disturbs his tranquility, he cannot get rid of it and feels tired of his attempts. On this Pop figurine, Sleepy is represented with the sleepy expression that earned him his name. He has half-closed eyes, heavy eyelids, a forced smile and a tired face. Dark circles can also be seen under the eyes. He is wearing a green tunic with sleeves too long for him. Under his long white beard, we can see a black belt with a golden buckle. He also wears red pants and small brown shoes. On his head, we find his big blue gray hat.
