Asterix is the hero of the eponymous comic strip. A valiant Gallic warrior, he actively participates in the resistance of his small village against the Roman invaders led by Julius Caesar. Asterix is physically small and skinny (which is magnified when he's next to Obelix!) and is described as very intelligent and cunning.His intrepidity means that Asterix is often the Gaul mandated by the village chief and the druid to set off on numerous adventures, usually in opposition to Julius Caesar's manoeuvres. In each of these adventures, the Gaulish hero is accompanied by Obelix and the little dog Dogmatix.Unlike Obelix, who is not allowed to taste the magic potion, Asterix usually carries a small gourd of potion on his belt. When he's in danger and has to use force, Asterix takes a sip from it! Coupled with his intelligence, this extraordinary strength makes Asterix the worst enemy of the Roman emperor, who dreams of overcoming the last village of die-hard Gauls.Funko has chosen to represent Asterix with a sword in his hand. The little Gaulish warrior is clearly recognisable with his blond moustache, his imposing nose and his helmet over his ears with the two wings as a crest. Dressed in his red trousers and his black marcel, Asterix wears his green belt and the holster of his sword at his waist. Despite the fact that all that's missing is the little potion gourd that isn't represented on Asterix's POP, the figurine is perfectly in the image of the comic book hero!
