What is a Xoloitzcuintli (also shortened to Xolo)? It is a Mexican naked dog, so called for its particularity of not having hair!This breed of dog has its origins in the Aztecs who used them as a sacrifice in funeral rituals. It has remained a symbol of Mexico continuing to preserve the belief that the Xolo accompanies the dead from the afterlife.The Xolo (or rather "la" Xolo) presented by Funko since it is a female is Rosa, a coquettish Mexican who wears large golden earrings. On this Around The World figure of Rosa, we find her dressed in a typical Mexican dress: ample, dark with colorful touches and perfect for dancing.Rosa's POP allows us to catch a glimpse of other nods to Mexican customs, notably with the crown of flowers Rosa wears on her head or her white collar that we can guess is made of Mexican lace.Just like the other POP Around The Worlds, Rosa is accompanied by her pin with the green, white and red Mexican flag.
