Mufasa is an important character in the Disney cartoon The Lion King. He is the father of Simba, the hero of the cartoon and the current king of the savannah, highly respected by his subjects. At the beginning of the story, we see the baptism of young Simba, celebrated by Rafiki, the king's adviser. The friendship between Rafiki and Mufasa is very strong. During the presentation of Simba to all the animals of the savannah, we see them embracing and the king entrusts Simba in the hands of Rafiki. Mufasa also has a strong bond with his butler Zazu to whom he often asks for advice and to report on the affairs of the kingdom or to look after his son Simba. Mufasa is a model for his son, he embodies all the values that make the greatest kings. His relationship with Simba is very fusional, he tries to spend time with his son to pass on the fundamental principles to the future king, values that he himself received from his ancestors. We also see him spending time with Simba when he gives him the first hunting lessons, with Zazu as "prey".While he is respected by all, Mufasa has a rather confrontational and competitive relationship with his younger brother, Scar. Indeed, the latter is jealous of his brother's position as king and only wants one thing: to take his place by all means. Scar will then come up with several plans to eliminate Mufasa. He succeeds by taking advantage of the naivety of his nephew Simba. Indeed, he lays a trap in his throat: he asks him to wait for his father Mufasa. Trapped by a herd of wildebeest rushing down the gorge, Simba's life is in danger. Mufasa, warned by Scar, manages to put him out of danger by bringing him back to the top of the cliff. Mufasa finds himself on the verge of falling and Scar kills him by deliberately pushing him off.This figurine is a flocked version of Mufasa. Funko represented him sitting in a very dignified and elegant posture. We recognize his orange coat with his big legs and his tail with the tuft of hair coming back to the front. We also recognize his mane of a darker orange than the rest of the body that elegantly surrounds his face, giving him even more presence.
