Or rather, thanks to the strength he was given. This energy that he did not know was in fact the spiritual trace of Raizen, his distant demonic ancestor who took control of his body to defeat Sensui.It is from that day on that Yusuke discovered that he had demon blood in him, which changed his perception of the world. Ironically, after having defeated Sensui, the latter told him that he was condemned to die anyway from a fatal disease. Yusuke could not forgive himself for not having been able to defeat him by his own means. He nourished thereafter an ardent hatred towards Raizen who, later, became his master.
