Genji, full name Genji Shimada, is a character in Overwatch. This ninja cyborg has a particularly difficult story, but makes him an outstanding fighter. A "damage hero" type, Genji combines the fighting techniques of a samurai with the technology of his cyborg armature. Whether he throws his shuriken, slices through the air with his katana or dodges blows by spinning his sword, Genji is impressively fast and technical!To understand Genji's character, you have to go back to his origins. Born in Nepal, he is the son of one of the main ninja masters and lives the life of a spoiled child. After his father's death, a fight opposes him to his brother who doesn't admit to seeing him spoiling the empire created by their father. This fight will leave him almost dead, and Genji's body will be collected by the military organization Overwatch. The latter will make a deal with Genji: to put him back on his feet in exchange for his future collaboration to dismantle the criminal Shimada clan.Having agreed, Genji is transformed into a cyborg. While his soul is still the same, his body is now that of a robot equipped with the latest technology. Genji will fulfill his part of the contract by allowing Overwatch to dismantle the clan founded by his father, but he will leave the organization shortly afterwards, in search of meaning. Indeed, if he lives again, Genji cannot accept himself. Half-man, half-robot, he doesn't find his place and finds precious help from the omniac monk Zenyatta. Thanks to him, Genji learns to accept himself and to understand the opportunity that his cyborg body offers him.This POP figure of Genji is from the second part of Overwatch. We find the ninja cyborg standing upright, katana in hand and hood on his head. The POP takes up the metallic aspect of Genji's body and he wears rather "sportswear" clothes: dark pants, a hooded sweatshirt and sneakers on his feet. The colour of his clothes reminds the original skin with greyish tones.On the accessories side, we mainly find the Overwatch ninja's weapons: his katana out, the sheath in shoulder strap in his back and what seems to be another katana in the back.
