Aang is the main character of the American animated television series: Avatar, the Last Airbender. He is a young boy who belongs to the Air Nomads, that is, people who master the element of air. Aang is also the new Avatar, a man or woman who possesses the ability to master the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire and Air) whose sole purpose is to maintain the balance between the Four Nations and preserve world peace. The day Aang learns that he has become the Avatar, he flees in fear with his faithful flying buffalo Appa. Unfortunately, they are caught in a storm and by instinct of survival, he uses his Avatar powers to protect himself and imprisons himself with Appa in ice. He was found 100 years later by members of the South Pole Water Tribe, Katara. and Sokka.. What Aang didn't know was that his accident occurred at the dawn of the Hundred Years War. A war also known as the Great War, between the Fire Nation and the other three nations: the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom and the Air Nomads. This war was initiated by the Fire Lord, the supreme ruler of the Fire Nation: Sozin in order to expand the Fire Nation and conquer the world. Aang's goal during his adventure will be to learn to master the other three missing elements, in order to have the strength to fight the current Fire Lord Ozai and thus restore the balance and save the world from the danger caused by the Fire Nation. On his long journey he will be accompanied by his friends Sokka, Katara and Toph. and his faithful companions Appa and Momo.Aang is a naive, fun-loving young boy with a great sense of humor. He is very close to animals and loves to discover new ones and play with them. He is a monk who does not eat meat and is deeply pacifist. Indeed, he often refuses direct confrontation preferring to discuss with his opponents and even when he has no choice, he makes sure to put his opponents out of harm's way without hurting them. The exception to this rule is when his friends are in danger, he will then do everything to protect them, even using the Avatar state. Behind his sometimes childish behavior, Aang hides a heavy burden, the guilt of having left his family and the world for 100 years when everyone needed him. Aang feels responsible for what is happening in the world today and will do anything to redeem himself during his adventure.Aang has had exceptional airmanship since he was young, surpassing all of his fellow Air Nomads. He is one of the best Airbenders of his generation. He is also one of the best Avatars, if not the best, that has ever existed because of his ability to learn and master the four elements. Indeed, the young boy learned to use all the elements in less than a year, which is a testament to his genius compared to his predecessors who took years to master the 4 elements. Moreover, the young Avatar also knows how to send back lightning, an extremely technical and devastating technique that was taught to him by Zuko.Through this POP figure, Funko represents Aang, the main character of the animated series Avatar, The Last Airbender.
