Roy Mustang or rather, Colonel Roy Mustang is a high ranking officer in the Central City army. Although he occupies a position of high function, he is particularly young and is not even thirty years old. If the army has entrusted him with such an important position, it is because he is a state alchemist; a particularly formidable state alchemist at that.He is always accompanied by Riza Hawkeye, who serves as his right-hand man, personal assistant and bodyguard. With a pair of special gloves, he can generate a spark by snapping his fingers. By using alchemy, he can then set the surrounding area ablaze by spreading and diffusing the flames with violence. He is a formidable weapon in his own right. However, his power suffers from a major drawback: humidity. A small drizzle is enough to prevent him from generating sparks and therefore, from producing and controlling flames. This weakness targets him as a permanent subject of mockery. This weakness makes him a constant target of mockery, especially from Edward Elric, who is a rival for him, even though he is his subordinate in the army.The Funko POP figure of Roy Mustang represents him, as usual, in his blue uniform of the Amestris army. Indeed on the POP, Roy Mustang wears the same uniform of the Central City officers with two exceptions. In addition to his blue uniform, Roy Mustang wears a long coat casually placed on his shoulders to better assert his presence.Moreover, Roy Mustang wears his traditional white gloves which, far from being a simple chic accessory, allow him to give free rein to his chemistry. As we know, Colonel Mustang is a rather quiet man, trying to look classy just to flatter his ego. Roy Mustang's POP captures this perfectly as he adopts a martial posture while keeping one hand in his pocket.In a nod to his chemistry, Funko has depicted a flame on the fingertips of his left hand on this Roy Mustang POP. This one, then, foreshadows a blazing inferno in which he will envelop myriads of enemies as he did during the Ishvald war...Finally, his frowning eyebrows let appear a semblance of hostility in his eyes. If Roy Mustang can be apathetic in many circumstances, anger can sometimes take hold of him and unleash the flames until only ashes remain. All this, always with one hand in his pocket, just like Funko has represented him on this Roy Mustang POP figure.
