GNAP Smurf is a nasty Smurf who appears in the Smurfs first album. While we discover the little blue characters and their enchanting village, one of the Smurfs gets bitten by a fly and turns into an aggressive Smurf who rushes on his companions to contaminate them in turn...Called Smurf GNAP! because "GNAP" is the only word he can pronounce, this Smurf is gradually contaminating the entire village. Papa Smurf urgently needs to find a cure and notices that the fly turns blue when exposed to pollen. He then sends the last blue Smurfs to collect as much pollen as possible and make an antidote.Towards the end of the album the GNAP Smurfs seem to have won the battle, all the Smurfs are contaminated except Papa Smurf, but Papa Smurf ends up being bitten in turn, fooled by a GNAP Smurf who has painted himself blue. In the fight, the laboratory caught fire and eventually exploded, spreading the antidote in the air and "curing" the Smurfs.Funko makes a nice nod to Peyo's comic strip with the POP of this GNAP Smurf. We discover a nasty Smurf, with purple skin and red eyes. Smurf stands with his arms outstretched (a bit like Gargamel when he chases Smurfs) and his jaw tight. This is in stark contrast to the gentle physique of Blue Smurfs...Finally, on the GNAP Smurf POP figurine, we find the Smurfs in his usual outfit, with his white hat on his head and matching pants.
