Harry Potter is the main character of the eponymous novelist saga which relates his adventures as a young sorcerer. He was born on July 31, 1980 in Godric's Hollow. His parents James Potter and Lily Evans were murdered by the terrible wizard Voldemort who was trying to kill Harry, convinced that Trelawney's prophecy indicated that he had the power to kill him.
