In the list of iconic series vehicles, there was Kit from K-2000, the Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo and now, since Breaking Bad, the Crystal Ship, the seedy vessel from which Walter White and Jesse Pinkman started to build their drug empire. Indeed, it is from this shabby vehicle that two of the biggest drug dealers in New Mexico have managed to make a name for themselves and cook up their own recipe for methamphetamine that will be the envy of all the cartels around. Why resort to an RV - especially one this old - when it comes to cooking methamphetamine? A laboratory would have been more effective, but also more expensive. When Walter White teamed up with Jesse Pinkman, it was because he needed the money and therefore couldn't afford to invest in a fully equipped lab. Walter was so desperate for an agent at the time that he bought the Crystal Ship with only $700. Jesse, of course, was in charge of negotiating the price. So, lacking a lab or even a garage, Walter White thought that a camper van was the best idea to cook methamphetamine in all discretion. This kind of chemistry being easy to spot by smell, it was risky to start this activity near other houses... The two friends will drive their camper in the desert of New Mexico away from everything. Avoiding attention and changing location each time, they become almost elusive aboard the Crystal Ship. From the very first episode of Breaking Bad, the Crystal Ship has been featured to the point of being Walter White and Jesse Pinkman's signature. There's something incongruous about the fact that the region's most influential methamphetamine dealers, capable of making hundreds of thousands of dollars at the time, were cruising the desert in a dingy RV to make their fortune. The Crystal Ship is equipped with everything needed to cook methamphetamine, Walter White works in his underwear so that the smell doesn't permeate his clothes. This, in the first episode of the series, will give rise to a grotesque situation where, in a scene of escape, his pants will escape him. This scene was even taken up by Funko on the POP of Walter White in his underwear! The POP Rides figure of the Crystal Ship offers the whole vehicle with, in addition, a figure of Jesse Pinkman acting as the driver. He can be seen from the sunroof of the vehicle where the chemical fumes usually escape. This is certainly the centerpiece in the Breaking Bad POP collection. Funko has represented the camper in all its splendor without leaving out any details: the dirtiness of the vehicle is admirably reproduced as well as its very old design which justified its modest price of 700 dollars. But what makes the Crystal Ship POP even more charming is the attention to detail, as it is so faithful to the iconic vehicle of the series that it displays the five holes inflicted by bullets in the door when Walter had poisoned and locked Emilio and Crazy 8 in the Crystal Ship.
