Doctor Maru is one of the antagonists of the first Wonder Woman movie released in 2017. Nicknamed "Doctor Poison" by the allies, she is a mad scientist who tries to develop the formula for a new mustard gas to exterminate many people, soldiers and civilians alike.Spy Steve Trevor is sent to gather information about her plans, but when he sees for himself the damage caused by Dr. Maru's experiments, he decides to steal her notebook to delay it and turn it over to the British intelligence services.It is at this moment that he is pursued by the Germans and that his plane is shot down near the Amazon island where he will meet Diana alias Wonder Woman...Dr. Maru, General Ludendorff's loyal follower, seems to express no compassion, no feelings. She is cold, and as her POP figure shows, her face is frightening. She wears plastic plates on her face that hide scars and burns.On Dr. Maru's figure, she is dressed in her green military uniform as well as the protective equipment she uses for her experiments, including long latex gloves and boots that appear to be made of the same material. She also has goggles on her head and is standing with her arms folded as if she were admiring the result of one of her experiments while watching a soldier suffocate.
