Belle is the heroine of the cartoon Beauty and the Beast, a great Disney classic released in 1991. The cartoon is loosely based on the eponymous tale from the eighteenth century. The story tells the story of the meeting of Belle, an intelligent young woman with a passion for reading, and the Beast, an arrogant prince magically transformed into a monstrous creature. On a stormy night, an old lady asks the young prince to offer her shelter in exchange for a rose. The young prince is disgusted by the old lady's appearance, sneers at her and chases her away.To punish this arrogant young prince, the old beggar woman casts a spell on him, turning him into a horrible monster.
