Aang is the main character of the animated series: Avatar, the Last Airbender. Aang is a young boy from the Air Nomads, i.e. the Airbenders. He has become the new Avatar, a human being capable of mastering the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire and Air) and whose main objective is to maintain the balance between the Four Nations and peace in the world. The day Aang heard this news was a shock to the young boy and he decided to run away with his flying buffalo friend, Appa. Unfortunately, both of them were caught in a huge storm over the sea and by instinct Aang trapped himself with Appa to protect himself. It is only 100 years later that the two friends are found by two young children of the South Pole Water Tribe: Katara and Sokka. The young Avatar learns that for 100 years the balance has been lost and that the Fire Nation wants to dominate the world. Aang embarks on a long journey with Katara, Sokka and later Toph, where the young boy must learn to master the four elements in order to stop the Fire Nation's threat and restore balance and peace to the world.Aang is a young vegetarian monk and in his philosophy of life, all human lives are important. This is why this young boy is naturally pacifist, preferring to resolve any altercations he gets into through discussion, favoring defense over attack. Even when Aang has no choice, he uses his strength to subdue his enemies without inflicting injury. The only exception to this rule is when his friends are in danger. Aang is then able to go into a rage and use all his strength and power, sometimes even going into an Avatar state to protect his friends. Aang is still a 12 year old boy who loves to have fun and joke with his friends. However, this attitude hides a sad truth. Young Avatar feels particularly responsible for what is happening in the world today; he was not there for 100 years when the world needed him and his powers against the Fire Nation. He wasn't there to protect his Air Nomad friends who were killed. But he will do everything he can to make up for his mistake and bring hope to the world.As far as his abilities are concerned, Aang is an Airbender who stands out from the crowd, he is extremely gifted. Aang is certainly the strongest of all the Airbenders. Moreover, he is one of the most talented Avatars ever. Indeed, he has mastered all the elements in less than a year while his predecessors took years to do so, although his mastery of some elements can be improved. When he is in a state of intense anger, he unconsciously uses the Avatar state, a state that he does not fully master and in which he uses all the elements to perfection. The young Avatar is also able to send lightning back thanks to Zuko, which makes him the first Avatar to have learned this ability.In this POP figure, Funko shows Aang, the main character of the American animated series, Avatar.
